On top of Montagnola

Although the way was quite difficult due to the icy conditions, 1,5 h hours later I was standing on the 2644 m high Montagnola summit (from the eruption 1763) having a spectecular view over the Valle del Bove with the lower part of the lava flow. In addition I could see the lights of the Italien main land. The lights of the coastal cities on the Sicilian border were unfortunateyl covered by clouds. Mount Etna at its best! Time to departure 13 hours...
