Sciena del Asino

Having seen the glow I had to see the lava flow! The closest opportunity was a hike to "Schiena dell' Asino" at the south border of the "Valle del Bove". After getting some sleep I started my tour on 5 a.m. at Hotel Corsaro. It took me approximately 50 min to walk the 2,4 km and 240 altitude meters to the viewpoint. Suddenly I heared slight eruption noise and when I reached the edge of the Valley and had the first view I was overwhelmed once more. Not only the hornito in 2800 m was active, sending a big lava river into "Valle del Bove", also the South East Crater (SEC) had an eruption (as shown in this first picture in the left side).
