Index:  Description The origin of Acitrezza, currently fraction of Acicastello, goes back iwhen in the 1672 Stefano of the Riggio prince of the house of Campo Fiorito acquired the territory. 24 june festivity of the Saint patron Giovanni Batiste. For the occasion it is mimed the parody of the fishing of the sword fish that was carried out in the strait of Messina and that it is called “u pisci to seas”. A good swimmer pretends to be the fish before hunted by the fishermen, then hurt. Every year on the end of July there is the festival of the fish.
