A strombolian activity started this afternoon around 15:00 local time with high lava fountains and ash emission.

This activity was anticipated by several earthquakes during all last week.
Mt.Etna eruption
A stream of lava is flowing down from a fissure in the slopes of the SE crater and spreading on the east flank moving fast towards the Valle del Bove rim.

An ash fallout has been observed on the ground in the town of Milo, Fornazzo and Zafferana.
