On 17 June 2007, will start the XV edition of the “Woodmen Pentathlon” in Maniace.

The “Pentathlon of the woodmen” is a sport competition considered also like a professional competence test. The first appointment of the manifestation is on 16 June. In this day, there will be an extension of ancient trade and objects tools realized by the same woodmen.

This extension will be in the "Castello Nelson" (Admiral Horatio Nelson's Castle). The castle is famous for its great park extention for approximately 4 hectares. This castle was granted to thank the Admiral Horatio Nelson by the king Ferdinand I.

The competition is an occasion to support and exalt the naturalistic patrimony of the Nebrodi park, its forests, water courses and paths.
