11-Apr-2007: Today in the morning, the show offered by the Etna!! A great lava tap  going down to the Bove Valley and a big cinder explosion. Last evening and night the situation was quite, but in the morning the volcano showed us all its power.

The phenomenon is begun in 2,30 AM and it's finished after five hours. On the place is in course a inspection by the experts of the national Institute of geophysicist and volcanology of Catania. The scene of the new eruption is in the summit part of the craters. There are two lava taps that emerge from the base of the crater of South-East and that head towards the desert  of the Bove Valley.

In the beginning of the eruption of Etna in 2007 were recorded strong roars from the crater of South-East that have been perceived also from the near etnean countries. The phenomenon has been accompanied by a spectacular “Lava fountain”, with volcanic bombs launched until 200 meters of height. A lava ash emission has been recorded too. To the state, the eruption does not constitute a danger.
