The Acireale's Timpa E-mail
The Timpa is a plateau of volcanic origin, on which the city of Acireale rises,it places above to 102 meters of height s.l.m. Geologically this area is born from the superimposition of eruptive layers of several ages. Here between sources of water and green landscapes beautiful citrus groves rise, like that one of the Coast of the Lemons. Here the nature offers one wonderful show to us: in one side we found the Etna and the other calabrians coasts. To the feet of the Timpa there is a characteristic small village of fishermen, Saint Maria the Scale, known for its limpid waters and lava stone beaches. On its rivers the fishermen work, and the aironi can be seen during the migratory season.
