This park flows along the 50 kilometers on the bed of the Alcàntara river. Its history is ancient how much the prehistory. The bed of the river, a time of clay, has been overflowed by a strained of magma that has provoked the collapse of these sediments, and that  has given life to the colonnade that today we can admire from contrada Larderia. In this wonderful Canyon, in which a river from cold and limpid waters slides, black alders, poplars, platani orients.

Make part of the Park of the Alcantara the following commons: Calatabiano, Castiglione of Sicily, Francavilla of Sicily, Gaggi, Giardini Naxos, Graniti, Mojo Alcantara, Motta Calastra, Randazzo, Roccella Valdemone, Taormina.
