King Ferdinand of the two Sicily, was forced in 1798 to abandon the reign of Naples because there were revolutionary motions, and, after the aid of the Admiral Horatio Nelson, he succeeded to shelter itself to Palermo. The year after, Ferdinand that was returned to having its throne, wanted to thanks him for those aids and granted the Abbey of Maniace, the earth and the city of Bronte. The complex of the Ducea, characterized from a quadrangular perimeter on which buildings with two elevations extend, is famous for its greatest park that extends outside and inside for approximately four hectares.
